It's the beach season, are you swimsuit ready?

Looking fabulous has never been so easy with an array of gorgeous swimsuits to suit every shape. If you are planning to beach this summer as I am, there will be a perfect swimsuit available.

The world of color in reference to swimsuits has come back with a vengence and those who know me know I love color. Fuchsia, purple and emerald green and jewel tones have proven to be big for summer as well as hues of blue.

Shapes for this season are varied with a move toward the 'anything goes' mentality. While bikinis are still most popular, although monokinis continue to be popular with the "young folks" or those who think they're young! One piece swimsuits are continuing to make a comeback across all ages and are now seen as stylish and elegant rather than dowdy and uninteresting. Finally people are giving one peices the credit they deserve!

Tankinis are always big sellers due to the fact they offer the wearer flexibility in being able to cover or expose their stomach area.

Those searching for a briefer look are turning towards bikinis with tie sides and bandeau tops.

Frills have been a huge trend on the runway this season, a look that has spilled over to clothing. The great advantage of frills on swimsuits in that it adds volume to areas that might need it, perfect for women with small busts or those looking to add a little size to their booty.

Other embellishments to look out for are metallic rings in various shapes and a smattering of beads or sequins in some collections.

For those not wanting their swimsuits in basic block colors there are quite a few prints around this season. Animal prints continue to be big popular especially zebra & leopard prints, worn by those who can and don't mind standing out in a crowd.

Don't forget your beaching accessories, must haves including shades, a cover up, a dress, sandals etc. All that will ensure you enjoy your beaching season with confidence! This way everyone will think you are the most fashionable person on the beach.

Darcy Antonia has begun a new community project

We've embarked upon a new and exciting project....... it's called after-school care! The name of our program, The Kathleen Phillips Activity center for Education (KPACE), launched at a local primary school in Nassau, The Ridgeland Primary school on March 15, 2010. This program targets and is beneficial to kids in the public school system from grades 1-6. We are there after school, from 3-5pm to offer homework assistance, interactive art, craft and science projects. The kids are taken out on field trips around town and enjoy guests who come in to visit with them to discuss numerous topics relevant to them.

We at darcy antonia fully believe in community service and realizes that in order to make our Country a better place, "community building" is everybody's business! Won't you join us?

New Year's Eve.....The biggest fashion event of the year!

For the most part, most of us have an idea of what we want to wear to the many New Year's Eve events scheduled this week, but for those procrastinators this one's for you!

There are many questions that can arise......dress? pant? long? short? black? color? my, my, my......what should a girl do? and off course as a jewelry company, we must ask "how are you going to accessorize?"

First things first...let's establish that you should look for your body type! Okay that narrows down what you can wear and wear well....so what fashion trends and styles are out there?,

Every woman wants to feel beautiful and glamorous when they step out, if you're someone who loves attention, sequins are a great way of achieving that look. Whether it's in a sleek pant suit or a dress, there's something about sequins that can draw all eyes toward you. If you choose a flashy outfit, you really don't need much accessories or you can use jewelry that is muted.

Sequins are also a great alternative to wearing black....it can be paired with a great pair of earrings and / or a cuff with some semi-precious stones on it (semi precious stones are more muted but provides some "bling" as opposed to the "bling bling" of Swarovski crystal beads)....

All designers have amazing versions of the "LBD" so it's just a matter of which designer appeals to your style most. Remember fashion is relative, it's all about what you love!
